काठमाडौं – नेपालका राजनीतिक दलहरूले सेना समायोजनसहित शान्ति प्रक्रियाको गति द्रुतरूपमा अघि बढाउन सकेकोमा जापानले स्वागत गरेको छ ।

नव वर्ष २०६९ को सुरुआत नेपालको राजनीतिक र सामाजिक स्थिरताका लागि शुभ संकेतकारूपमा आएको भन्दै जापानी दूतावासले जारी गरेको विज्ञप्तिमा अब निर्धारित अवधिमै संविधान लेखिने र शान्ति प्रक्रिया टुंगिने विश्वास बढेको जनाइएको छ ।

Japan Welcomes the Latest Political Development in Nepal

The Embassy of Japan in Nepal welcomes the latest political development on the peace process in which the major political parties have reached a seven-point agreement to resolve, once and for all, the disputed issues on the integration of former Maoist combatants into the Nepal Army. The Embassy commends the strong commitment displayed by the leaders of the political parties to achieve this breakthrough, which has given a powerful momentum to complete the peace and constitution legislation process within the stipulated time.

With the signing of the aforementioned agreement, the process towards peace and constitution, which was launched through the Comprehensive Peace Agreement in 2006, leaves only one more milestone to mark; legislation of the new constitution. Japan, as an old friend of Nepal, sincerely wishes that the political leaders and the members of the Constituent Assembly, to whom this historical task has been entrusted, remain united for the purpose of realizing the long-embraced aspirations of the people of Nepal, and, thus, the Nepali Year 2069 will be remembered as the beginning of a new era in the history of Nepal.

The Government and people of Japan are ever ready to assist Nepal’s efforts to this end, and are ready to support the people of Nepal, and also confident that the friendly and cooperative relations that so happily exist between the two countries will be further strengthened in the days ahead.
